Starlink
Starlink installation for rural Berkshire
Farms, converted barns and outlying Chilterns properties with poor or no broadband - fitted properly, sealed properly, and positioned for a genuinely open view of the sky.
- Sky-view survey
- Weatherproof cable entry
- Router setup

Berkshire and Oxfordshire service
Obstruction is the whole game, and Berkshire has plenty of it
Starlink needs a clear, wide view of the northern sky. A single mature oak on the edge of a Chilterns garden can cause dropouts that no amount of rebooting will fix.
We survey the property, work out the mounting position that clears the obstruction map, and fit a rigid roof, gable or pole mount that won't shift in a winter gale.
The cable entry is drilled, sleeved and sealed properly, the router sited for the best coverage inside, and we can add mesh access points where the house is long or built from thick stone.
What's included
Done properly, first visit
Obstruction survey
Mounting position chosen against the actual obstruction map, not a guess.
Roof and gable mounts
Rigid, wind-rated hardware fixed to a proper structural point.
Pole and ground mounts
Free-standing masts where the roofline alone can't clear the tree line.
Weatherproof cable entry
Sleeved and sealed properly - no open drilled holes left to let the weather in.
Router positioning
Placed for the best coverage rather than the nearest socket, then tested room by room.
Mesh extension
Access points added to cover farmhouses, barns and outbuildings.
How it works
From phone call to first channel
- 01
Get in touch
Give us your postcode and describe what's happening on screen. Often we can narrow down the likely cause before the van's even loaded.
- 02
On-site check
Your engineer reads the actual signal at roof height, rather than assuming it matches the house next door.
- 03
Clear price
You'll know the cost before anything is fitted, drilled or climbed.
- 04
Fit and prove it
Once the work's done, every point in the house is checked and the area left as we found it.
Questions
Straight answers
Anything not covered here, call 0118 968 0881 and speak to an engineer — not a scripted call handler.
Do you supply the Starlink kit itself?
Customers normally buy the kit directly. We handle the survey, mounting, cabling and setup.
Can Starlink cope with some trees in the way?
No - even partial obstruction causes dropouts, which is exactly why the mounting survey matters so much.
Can barns and outbuildings be covered too?
Yes, either with mesh access points or a point-to-point link across the yard.
Is mounting on the roof actually safe?
We use rated brackets fixed into rafters or masonry and sealed properly against water getting in.
